Karl Banty is a Partner in Strategic Transformation at Chartis. He serves as an advisor to executive leaders at leading academic health centers, children’s hospitals, and integrated health systems on numerous topics, including enterprise strategy, partnerships and affiliations, organizational design, pediatric and adult faculty group practice development, and funds flow/economic alignment.
Karl’s recent engagements include advising a large public University and its affiliated health system on transitioning to a more integrated relationship through changes to enterprise governance, designing a new health system to align the governance and management of two teaching hospitals and several community hospitals that have been acquired over the past decade, supporting a top-10 NIH funded academic health system on development of a performance-driven funds flow model, facilitating discussions between a children’s health system and College of Medicine on the design of a new pediatric academic affiliation, and advising an academic health system on the development of a new enterprise strategic plan spanning the clinical, research, and education missions.
Karl earned a Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in health sector management from Boston University and a Bachelor of Science in economics from Northeastern University.
