Before joining Chartis, Sem led strategic engagements at BDC Advisors, a boutique healthcare strategy consulting firm specializing in managed care transformation and payer strategy. Previously, he served as Vice President of Managed Care Growth at Advocate Aurora Health, where he played a pivotal role in merging managed care and population health functions across the combined footprint. He also led the development, acquisition, and launch of a provider-owned health plan, overseeing the full spectrum of strategic planning, product development, and business growth execution. Additionally, Sem was a Strategy Manager at Deloitte, leading large-scale strategic transformation initiatives for healthcare delivery systems, health plans, and adjacent industry stakeholders. Before Deloitte, he spent over four years at Epic Systems Corporation, guiding clients through large-scale EHR implementation and operational transformation efforts.
Sem holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Economics from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business and an MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden Graduate School of Business.
