Plamen Todorow is an Associate Partner with Chartis and a leader in the firm’s Private Equity Advisory Practice. His experience spans over thirteen years of strategy, financial, and operational advisory to a range of health industry clients including: academic medical centers, integrated delivery networks, payors, private equity and hedge fund capital providers, and real estate investment trusts. His areas of expertise are in healthcare strategic planning, due diligence, mergers and acquisitions, partnership strategy, physician-hospital alignment, performance improvement initiatives, strategic options assessments, and service line planning.
As part of his work with private equity companies and portfolio companies, Plamen has conducted commercial diligence and strategic planning for healthcare investments in PACE programs, post-acute providers, FSED real estate, specialty hospitals, behavioral health platforms, primary and specialty PPMs, and ambulatory surgery centers.
Prior to joining Chartis, Plamen was an Assistant Vice President in Kaufman Hall’s Healthcare Strategic Financial Planning Practice. At Kaufman Hall, Plamen was integral in directing financial sponsors and their portfolio companies around healthcare real estate sale-leaseback strategies, acquisitions and divestitures, and portfolio optimization.
Plamen has prior experience serving as an Asset Manager for the high acuity Health Asset Management team within Ventas, a healthcare real estate investment trust. At Ventas, he helped to grow the Ardent Health triple net portfolio to over $2B in assets through accretive portfolio acquisitions. Plamen also has previous management consulting experience at FTI Consulting, Navigant Consulting, and Oracle Cerner.
Plamen has a Master of Science in Predictive Analytics from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.
