Joshua Woodford is an Associate Principal with Chartis in the Strategy and Private Equity Advisory practices. He has 11 years of experience in strategy and management consulting, including nine years in healthcare. Clients rely on his expertise in M&A, business development, strategic planning, ambulatory and acute network development, product design and portfolio expansion, value-based contracts, and post-merger integration/organizational design.
Prior projects include the formation of a joint-venture health plan between a payer and health system, including conception, pro forma forecasting, partnership negotiation, and early operations; the creation of a population health services company to support a system’s transition to value-based care; the creation of products and services to complement at-home care and back pain treatment; and post-merger organizational design for two large regional health systems.
Prior to joining Chartis, Joshua was the Director of Strategy for Texas Health, a large integrated health system in Dallas/Fort Worth, TX. Joshua was also a consultant for The Boston Consulting Group, where his industry experience outside healthcare included energy, retail, telecommunications, e-commerce and airlines, and projects in transformational design, lean operations, performance improvement, and strategic product portfolio. Joshua's prior work experience also includes work for a late-stage technology startup and for Goldman Sachs.
Joshua earned a Master of Business Administration in finance and operations from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Utah.
