Joseph Clancy is a Partner in Financial Transformation at Chartis. Joe brings nearly 25 years of experience to the firm leading and advising health systems and community hospitals. His expertise spans operations improvement, health system integration, physician integration, business transformation, and market share growth. Before transitioning to consulting, Joe spent 13 years as a hospital CEO and COO, where his leadership drove long-term growth, process efficiency, and overall excellence in quality, finance, and operations. Joe’s deep understanding and strategic insight enable him to craft tailored solutions that address both common challenges and the unique needs of his clients.
Prior to joining Chartis, Joe served as a Director in the Healthcare Operations practice at Guidehouse, where he led large-scale performance improvement initiatives. In this role, he focused on closing gaps in operational platforms and restructuring internal workflows and infrastructure to secure lasting improvements and organizational alignment. Prior to that, Joe was a Manager in the Healthcare Mergers & Acquisitions practice at PwC, where he guided organizations through the entire M&A continuum, from developing partnership strategies to executing post-merger integration plans.
Joe holds a Master of Health Administration from the Medical College of Virginia Campus at Virginia Commonwealth University and a Bachelor of Arts in health & society from the University of Rochester.
