Joel Richard is a Partner and Vice President of Talent Acquisition at Chartis. In this role, Joel is responsible for leading all aspects of talent acquisition, including campus and experienced hire recruiting, senior search initiatives firm-wide, and the recruiting aspects of the firm’s anti-racism plan. He brings to the firm more than 20 years of professional experience with the last 15 years focused on building programmatic and strategic talent acquisition functions in multiple industries.
Before joining Chartis, Joel served as the Head of Talent Acquisition for Oliver Wyman, overseeing talent acquisition approaches for the Americas. Here, Joel led the design and implementation of a research-driven, strategic sourcing function that led to significant firm growth.
Previously, Joel was a VP of Talent Acquisition for Capital One’s commercial bank, overseeing a team of recruiters and actively recruiting for front office talent in commercial banking. In his early career, he worked in Talent Acquisition focused on banking and financial services sales.
Joel earned his Bachelors degree from The University of Michigan in Economics.
