David Parker is an Associate Partner with Chartis. He has worked in the healthcare industry for over 20 years, providing program and project management leadership, including design and implementation, strategic assessment and planning, as well as performance improvement initiatives. David's leadership spans large-scale Electronic Health Record (EHR), technical, hardware and software implementations; mergers and acquisitions; IT Service Management process improvements; service desk operations; and technology assessment and planning.
He has held operational IT roles including organizational director, assistant director, development manager, project manager, systems administrator, database administrator (DBA), programmer, and analyst. In addition to being certified in Epic Bridges, David is trained as an Epic Client System Administrator (ECSA). Additionally, he has multiple certifications including Project Management Professional (PMP), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS).
Prior to joining Chartis, David worked at MD Anderson Cancer Center supporting clinical intelligence projects before moving to maxIT/Leidos as a Management Consulting Director, where he focused on Epic implementations and was the Program Manager for a Leidos Health innovation/venture group to develop a disease prediction product. Before consulting, David was the Assistant Director of Epic Support at Texas Children’s Hospital, Manager of Software Engineering at Harris Health, and Data Services Supervisor at Providence Health System (WA).
David earned his Master of Business Administration from Pacific Lutheran University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Saint Bonaventure University.
