Alan’s primary areas of focus include enterprise strategy, market growth planning, partnership formation, payer strategy optimization, and financial performance improvement, helping to deliver transformative engagements that have reshaped healthcare organizations at both the national and regional levels. With deep expertise across the healthcare ecosystem—spanning hospitals, health systems, academic medical centers, physician organizations, and payers—Alan is passionate about redefining care delivery models, improving financial sustainability, and driving innovative strategies that meaningfully enhance healthcare accessibility and quality in the U.S.
Prior to joining Chartis, Alan served as a Principal at BDC Advisors, a healthcare-focused strategy consulting firm. Alan led engagements responsible for designing strategies for major market transformations, including the formation of a multi-billion-dollar regional health system through a strategic merger, where he worked closely with senior leadership to define a long-term integration strategy that aligned market positioning, care delivery, and financial sustainability objectives.
Alan began his career in KPMG’s Management Consulting Practice. Among other clients, Alan led consulting teams advising the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) on a range of health policy and operational transformation initiatives.
Alan holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Florida and a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from the University of Virginia.
