Abigail (Abby) Arnold is an Associate Vice President of Research with Chartis. She has experience in consulting and with many segments in the healthcare industry, including hospital systems, health plans, and pharmaceuticals. Abby has assisted in engagements involving accountable care strategy/clinical integration development, funds flow and alignment, population health management, and strategic planning. Additionally, Abby has experience in project management on complex engagements including a partnership across four academic medical centers.
Recent engagements with Chartis include the development of a population health management strategy and roadmap for a children’s hospital; strategic affiliation options between children’s hospitals; creation of a comprehensive, market-by-market approach to improving access and the quality of care delivered to children statewide for a children’s hospital; assessment of the acquisition of a community hospital by a large academic medical center; funds flow, organizational alignment, and strategic planning for an academic medical center; and development of a clinically integrated network between several independent health systems to improve the health of their respective populations and enhance their ability to remain locally governed community assets.
Prior to joining Chartis, Abby was a marketing manager for Pfizer. Before business school, she was an actuarial consultant for Towers Watson where she coordinated the pension, retiree medical, and non-qualified plan valuations for clients. During that time, she also passed the probability, financial mathematics, and financial economics exams administered by the Society of Actuaries.
Abby holds an MBA with a concentration in healthcare management and marketing from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. She also holds a BSBA in business from University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
