Chartis, a leading healthcare advisory firm, announced today that Aman Sabharwal, MD, MHA has joined the firm as a Managing Partner to co-lead Clinical Transformation. He brings more than 20 years of experience as a board-certified internal medicine hospitalist and clinical transformation expert.
Sabharwal’s areas of specialization include optimizing clinical value analysis programs and hospitalist and physician groups, care coordination services, clinical documentation improvement services, clinical quality and utilization, value-based care, high reliability, and hospital and health system transformation consulting services.

Working with other clinicians, high reliability care experts, and strategists across the firm, Sabharwal will partner with health systems and physician groups to transform the delivery of healthcare for the provider market. His areas of focus will be optimizing capacity and access, improving clinical and quality outcomes, increasing accuracy of documentation and coding, and enhancing performance within medical groups and the broader healthcare workforce, including reducing burnout.
Before joining Chartis, Sabharwal spent nearly 14 years at Vizient and most recently served as the practice leader for Clinical Consulting, where he led complete hospital transformation engagements. Prior to that, he served as the Chief Utilization Officer at Jackson Health System in Miami, Florida.
Sabharwal is a frequent speaker and seasoned author on clinical transformation topics. He holds a Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Doctor of Medicine degrees from the University of Missouri, and a Master of Health Administration from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill.
