Jacob Ives is a Partner in Financial Transformation with Chartis. He works with organizations to improve revenue cycle KPIs, leverage technology for operation efficiency, and build effective strategies for ongoing RCM optimization. His subject matter expertise spans the revenue cycle with a focus on Denial Prevention, AR Management, Pre-AR Reduction, and Self-Pay. Jacob has over 10 years of healthcare experience working with providers, payers, and life sciences firms, beginning as a revenue cycle leader at Epic, managing implementations and escalations. At Epic, he worked with organizations such as UMass Memorial, CVS Health, and John Hopkins, serving as the counterpart to revenue cycle VPs while managing the overall delivery of implementation and optimization.
Following Epic, Jacob was an Associate at Point B in their healthcare practice, where he worked on regulatory and operation effectiveness projects for large commercial payers. He then transitioned to health tech firm Medable to manage software implementations that support life sciences firms to deliver decentralized clinical trials. At Medable he oversaw the delivery of >$20 million in annual revenue; including supply chain, global logistics, help desk support, and customer success.
Jacob brought his deep operational and technology expertise back to the Healthcare Revenue Cycle, working with organizations to use technology effectively for financial improvement. Most recently he led teams to deliver revenue cycle assessments and revenue cycle optimization projects.
Jacob earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in Theology from North Park University, where he served as Student Body President. He is an active member of the IL chapter of HFMA and holds Epic certifications within revenue cycle.
